Recorder of Deeds Michael Butler and the St. Louis City Recorder of Deeds Office are excited to offer free wedding ceremonies inside the historic St. Louis City Hall to celebrate Valentine’s Day Eve!

Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Location: St. Louis City Hall, 1200 Market Street
What We Provide
- A licensed officiant
- A beautifully decorated ceremony room
- Celebratory treats and a framed keepsake
- Room for 5–10 guests to join you
It’s your chance to make your wedding day both unforgettable and historic — free of charge, in one of the city’s most iconic buildings!
Before You Arrive
Couples must begin the marriage license process before the ceremony. Start your application online here:
Begin Your Marriage License Application
Upon arrival, first go to Room 128 to obtain your marriage license. The standard $60.00 nonrefundable application fee applies, payable by Visa, MasterCard, or cash (no checks accepted). Ceremonies will take place in Room 124.
